How do I place an online delivery order with Eat In Express?
Initiate the order
From the main menu on the left-hand side of any page click the "Order
Online" link. You will be brought to the first step in the ordering
process.
Select a Location
First, enter you zip code, then select your zone or you may select your
zones from the drop-down list.
Select the Delivery Time
You have two options when selecting a delivery time; the first option is
to have the delivery scheduled for "as soon as possible". The actual
delivery time will vary based on such factors as what restaurant you are
ordering from, and whether we are open to perform the delivery. If we
are closed and are not accepting new orders for the day, the next
available approximate delivery time will be shown on the screen.
The second option is to schedule a delivery for a future date and/or
time. When you select this option, you are presented with a calendar
from which you can select the desired delivery date. If we are closed on
a particular date, that date will show up as RED in the calendar. The
calendar will allow pre-ordering of deliveries for up to about a month
ahead of time. You may select a date by clicking on the date in the
calendar. After you click on the desired date, a set of boxes will
appear with the time slots that are available for that day. Select a
time by clicking on the desired box.
Select a Restaurant
After selecting a delivery time, you are presented with a list of
restaurants that we can delivered to your location. If a restaurant is
not able to prepare food for the desired delivery time, it will display
a message stating so. The menu for each restaurant may be viewed by
clicking on the "view menu" link next to each restaurant name. Also, you
may filter the list of menus that are presented based upon what type of
food you would like (i.e.: Italian, Oriental, etc) by selecting the
category from the drop-down list in the upper-right corner of the
screen. As long as a restaurant is available to receive a delivery from,
you may select it by clicking on the name of the restaurant.
Select Your Food Items
When you select your restaurant, you are then presented with the menu of
that restaurant. A listing of the food categories is listed along the
left-hand side, and clicking on a food category heading will display a
listing of the available food in that category in the middle of the
screen. To select a menu item, click on the item name. You will be
brought to a screen where you may select how many of that item you would
like, as well as add any special comments for the restaurant regarding
that food item (i.e., "hold the mayonnaise"). If there are extra options
available for this food item, you may select them here.
As you add items to your order, they will appear in your order pad along
the right-hand side along with a running total of your food order,
including any applicable delivery fees and taxes. If you wish to remove
a food item from your order, you may click on the red "X" next to the
food item. To edit a food item that you have already added to your
order, simply click on the item in the order pad. Underneath the
ordering pad, you have the option to clear your order pad of all of your
menu items and start over, or continue on after you have selected all of
your restaurant items.
Select Your House Items
Our delivery service (Eat In Express) offers you the chance to add
several items to your order that the restaurant may not offer, such as
drinks and eating utensils. Some of these items might not incur an extra
charge, but adding them to your order will help us ensure that you
receive them with your order. Add house items in the same manner that
you added food items to your order; when you have finished, click the
"Continue" button underneath the order pad.
Select Payment Method
Next, please choose your method of payment. If you wish to pay by credit
card, you will be asked to enter in your credit card information. Once
you have used a credit card with our online ordering system for an
order, the credit card will become available via a drop-down list for
all subsequent orders. Simply select the credit card from the list and
click the "Continue" button.
Confirm Your Order
Lastly, you will be given the opportunity to review your order. Please review the order you just placed. If it is not correct use your back button and go back to the restaurant order page. So you can make the necessary changes. To delete an item from the order click on the Red X next to the item. To edit an item simply click on the entered item, then make any changes.
If you are paying with a credit card, please include the Card Verification (CVV2) number. For MASTER CARD, VISA and DISCOVER CARD it is the last 3 numbers in the signature box on the back of the card. For AMEX CARD it is the 4 numbers on the right side just above the account numbers on the front of the card. If this number is not included your order cannot be processed through our new credit card service. We will attempt to contact you for the missing number. This will delay you receiving your order. If we cannot contact you to receive the missing CVV2 number your order will not get processed. Always provide a working phone number in case we need to contact you.
*FYI:* Please remember our drivers earn their pay from the gratuity you give. They arrive at the restaurant in a timely manner so they can check for missing items if the order is not placed in a sealed bag (sealed bags cannot be opened). They pack hot items in insulated hot bags and they safely hurry to your home or business. The delivery fee you pay is to offset company expenses; it is not the drivers pay. To include a gratuity click on the add tip link just under the total. A fifteen percent gratuity is customary. A 10% gratuity is automatically added to orders over $50, and to orders with longer wait/travel time. Thank you for your patronage.
